The Ballet Español de Cuba, directed by Eduardo Veitía, presents two performances in the Sala Avellaneda of the Teatro Nacional to mark the 150th anniversary of Manuel de Falla's birth. The program has three parts and an epilogue: it opens with seven Spanish folk songs performed by soprano Milagros de los Ángeles and pianist Vilma Garriga, followed by suites from the ballets The Three-Cornered Hat and Love, the Magician, danced by soloists and the company. The closing section brings together works by principal dancer Leslie Ung set to flamenco music. The performances also form part of the Día de la Hispanidad and the Jornada por el Día de la Cultura Cubana.
