Getting to Amargura 62

We're in the center of Old Havana. The address, as you can show it to a taxi driver:

From the airport

You'll land at José Martí International Airport. The car ride to the house depends on traffic; if you tell us your flight, we'll tell you how much time to allow that day.

  • Our taxi: to the door, with a heads-up to the house.

    Tell us your flight and a driver we trust will be waiting for you, take you to the door of the house and let the house manager know you're arriving so that someone welcomes you. We recommend arranging it before you travel.

  • If you prefer to find a taxi there.

    When you leave the airport you have to negotiate the price with each driver, and for someone who has just arrived, tired and without knowing the prices, that's not easy. If you do it, agree on the fare before you get in.

  • By bus, if you like adventure.

    The airport bus runs from the airport to the center of Havana, near Parque Central. It's the cheapest option, but we can't tell you what time it comes or how long it takes: it's variable and unpredictable, and you may wait a long time. With luggage and after a long flight, we don't recommend it. From Parque Central to the house it's about a 15-minute walk.

  • The last stretch, on foot

    Amargura Street is pedestrian, and that's one of the reasons the house is so quiet. About 50 meters away there's a paid parking lot; the last part is done on foot.

  • The stairs

    All the apartments are one floor up: you climb 36 steps. If stairs are difficult for you, write to us before you book.

Before you arrive

Do your check-in from your Guest Portal, whenever you like after you book, or do it when you arrive at the house, with us. One person can do it for the whole group: we'll ask for the identity document of each adult, and only the name and date of birth of children. 72 hours before your arrival you'll see your access codes in the Portal; open it then with a connection so that they're saved on your phone.

Your apartment is ready from 3:00 PM and you leave it before noon. If nobody is leaving your apartment that day, you can come in earlier; and if nobody is coming in, you can leave later, at no cost. Write to us and we'll confirm. If it isn't possible, leave your bags at the house and go for a walk. And on the day you leave, you can also leave them with us after saying goodbye to the apartment, so you can keep exploring until your flight.
