Practical information
Internet in Cuba
The house has Wi-Fi, included in your stay. It works while there's power, and in Cuba the connection can fail for a while or be slow, and that doesn't depend on us. If the power goes out, you have fans and battery-powered lights, and a power bank to charge your phone. With three things prepared before you leave, you won't notice.
Install a VPN before you travel
From Cuba, many websites and apps, such as those of your bank, PayPal or Airbnb itself, don't work without a VPN. Install it on your phone before you leave home. Some that many travelers use are TunnelBear, Psiphon and NordVPN; they're only examples, we have no relationship with them. Download it and test it before you travel.
Install the Guest Portal
The Portal for your stay works without internet: your reservation, your access codes, the map of the area and what you need to know about the house stay saved on your phone. Install it before you travel from the link we send you when you book.
Download what you'll need
Tickets, reservations and maps are best saved on your phone before you leave.
And a SIM card?
If you'd like one, we can get you a Cuban SIM card, subject to availability.
