The apartment
A blue balcony over Amargura Street, pedestrian and quiet in the very center of Old Havana, with the trees of a park almost brushing the railing. Inside, two separate bedrooms, each with its own double bed, sleeps four comfortably; in the one with the balcony, the wall opens in cracks that draw the branches of a tree. The living area joins the kitchen and the dining table under blue beams, over patterned cement tiles, and the bathroom is tucked into its own small brick structure. Air conditioning throughout the apartment. It's one floor up: you climb 36 steps.
